"The Miner's
Room"
is a cozy, traditional room with a bathroom with generous
tiled
shower two steps down the hallway. It has a luxurious antique iron
double bed, a dresser, two chairs and a bench.
Families or groups wishing to book a second downstairs
room sharing the same bathroom may reserve the second Miner's Room
at the same rate. Please call us if you need help in booking both rooms
together, as we may block online access to the second room.
Second Floor


$90 "The
Cormac Room" – a
traditional corner room with a small desk, antique
dresser,
antique four-poster bed and a “spare” (single bed).
 $105 “The
East Room”–
This spacious corner room with two double beds with antique
iron frames
catches the morning sun. It also features an antique
writing desk and a corner table and chairs. A lovely old fireplace (no
longer functioning) is another feature.
These two rooms are assigned a
bathroom with stall
shower down the hall. For individual room reservations, we
will book
only one of the two rooms at a time to preserve private use of
that
bathroom. Families or groups wishing to book both rooms and share the
bath may do so. Please call us of you need help in booking both the
Cormac and East Rooms, as we may block online access to one if the
other is booked.
$105 “The
Sweetheart Room”–
a big room with queen bed and a cozy, protected
atmosphere. It has a spacious bathroom with antique 6' clawfoot tub
with hand shower. The bedroom also has antique tables and
chairs,
leaded glass bookcase, and dresser.
FAMILIES
or GROUPS wishing to reserve ALL THREE UPSTAIRS ROOMS, sharing the two
baths, may do so. The bathroom connected to the Sweetheart Room may
also be accessed from the hallway under such circumstances. For large
groups we can open up a fourth upstairs bedroom (and we have done so
for several groups). Such groups must be comfortable with the shared
bath situation. We'll make sure you have plenty of fresh towels and
we'll clean the bathrooms daily.

Weekly rates are equal to five
nights’ stay, and must be paid in advance.
CANCELLATION POLICY: For reservations made with
a credit card, there will be a $15 service charge per room for
cancellations with at least 48 hours notice. Deposits paid by check or cash will be refunded IN FULL by check provided 48 hours minimum notice is given. No-shows or less than 48 hours notice will result in a charge equal to the first night's room charge.

The Simpson is a smoke-free hotel.
Regarding
animals:
We have two cats residing part-time in our building. While we
don’t allow them in the guest rooms or the kitchen, they are
sometimes out and about in the hallways or the parlor. Therefore we
cannot guarantee a dander-free environment in the shared areas of the
building.
